“We have more possibilities available in each moment than we realize”

Coaching holds the perspective that you’re more resilient, resourceful and more capable of transformation than you know. Embodiment explores the way that your body can help you access and stay anchored to that deeper inner knowing through all the challenges and opportunities of these complex times.

How do we relate to the struggles - and honour the gifts - of our own unique story, our early childhood conditioning, the specific circumstances of our life, and the dominant cultural context and expectations that we grew up with?

How are the ideas that we inherited and internalized expressed in our actions and reflected in our bodies, and how do we connect with our own agency enough to create more support, ease and flow in our day to day lives?

I initially certified as a Wayfinder Life Coaching with the Martha Beck Institute because it emphasizes the importance of people being in integrity with their true self rather than prescribing one right way of seeing or living life. Subsequent training in trauma informed practices like Internal Family Systems has given me more tools to address what sometimes blocks us from accessing that true self. As my own path has always been so strongly oriented towards the body, my particular style of coaching focusses on the unique insight that embodiment can offer.

Embodiment at its core is about connecting to the innate intelligence of the body and transforming limiting patterns of how you have habitually carried yourself in order to instead explore how you want to move through the world. As Prentis Hemphill said,  “Embodiment asks the questions, ‘Who are you now and who are you trying to become?”

I tend to work with folks in caregiving, service or leadership roles, people of all ages navigating neurodiversity, those in transitional phases of life who want to get clearer about their capacity and boundaries and anyone who wants to feel more in alignment with their integrity and purpose and more nourished by their life.
